Had the great privilege of playing recently at the Down with Jazz Festival in Temple Bar’s Meeting House Square.
I was one of the 4 guitarists representing the hugely successful Dublin Guitar Night, an fantastic event set up by Hugh Buckley that takes place on the last Tuesday of every month in JJ Smyths Jazz Venue on Aungier Street.
Making up the one-off guitar quartet was myself, Hugh Buckley, Darragh O’Neill & Pat Farrell. It was amazing to have the chance to play with these great musicians!
We each played a short set of our own before taking to the stage together for a Jam!
It was a really enjoyable gig despite the baltic temperatures that greeted Dublin that weekend. Joining me on palmas for my solo set was Marcos Scattolo from Sevilla. Thanks again Marcos!

Here is a nice review of the gig on the AllAboutJazz.com website. The whole weekend is reviewed, my solo performance & that of the other guitarists and our ensemble is at the bottom of page 4 and continuing to page 5
Nice to see & I’m thrilled with the short review.
